Key-to-Voice: Conceptual Keyboard
As one of the results of Naturalness in Human Cognitive Enhancement (HCENAT) project, we developed a conceptual keyboard for hospitalized patients who, for some reason, are unable to speak.
Key-to-voice is a free tablet application which helps patients with voice restriction to communicate. It's oriented to the hospital environment and is designed to ease the communication within first days after surgery. By pressing a key on the tablet, a patient can instantly "say" - play the sound of - many basic phrases and questions such as: "Hello!" - "I'd like to talk to my family." - "When will I be discharged?" - "I'm hungry." - "Please, call my doctor." - "How did the surgery go?" - "Which medicine am I taking?" - "Help!"
- The application is designed for Czech audience and is available only in Czech language.
