Jindřich Matoušek presented speech synthesis in Nečtiny

2016-02-27

Jindřich Matoušek leads a team which develops speech synthesis for patients after total laryngectomy. During the surgery, they lose their voice and the synthesis enables them to communicate via PC, tablet or smartphone while keeping the sound of their original voice. Their voice is recorded in advance and later reconstructed in a manner that it can read any text written in a simple application. Matoušek presented the work of his team in Nečtiny, January 2016.
